KimiVault is local-first. The app is designed to store sensitive vault data on your Mac and to app-encrypt data before optional iCloud Sync.

Passwords, API keys, project notes, custom fields, and other vault contents are stored locally in the app environment on your Mac. KIMIKON does not automatically receive these contents.
The local vault is stored encrypted. The raw master password is not stored for convenience unlock.
If you enable Touch ID, KimiVault uses Apple system features for a device-local unlock path. KimiVault does not read biometric data and does not transmit biometric data to KIMIKON.
iCloud Sync is optional and Pro-only. If you enable sync, KimiVault writes app-encrypted records to your private iCloud database. KIMIKON does not run a separate vault sync server for this.
Apple does not receive plaintext secrets from KimiVault. As part of iCloud and CloudKit, Apple may still process Apple ID, account, device, network, diagnostic, and service metadata. Apple's iCloud terms and privacy notices also apply to iCloud usage.
Purchases, license activation, and payment processing are handled by Lemon Squeezy. License keys, product information, activation status, email address, and payment data may be processed by Lemon Squeezy. KimiVault stores license data locally in the macOS Keychain or local app settings.
KimiVault may fetch update information from the KIMIKON update endpoint. Technical access data such as IP address, timestamp, user agent, and requested URL may be processed in server or CDN logs.
When you visit kimivault.cc, technical access data is processed to securely deliver the website. The website does not use marketing cookies or tracking pixels.
The website loads font files through Bunny Fonts. Technical access data such as IP address, timestamp, and requested font file may be processed by Bunny.net. This is used to display the website, not for marketing tracking.
If you contact us by email, we process your message, email address, and any information you voluntarily provide to answer your request.
Support emails, technical logs, and purchase-related records are stored only as long as required for support, security, proof, or legal obligations.
